As the anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death approaches, a tribute to her life was imminent.

Some serious star power turned up at the Nokia Theater for a taping of “We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston” on Thursday night.

Jennifer Hudson was the feature attraction of the evening, belting out a medley of Houston hits at the show, which will air on television next month.

Others who were on hand to pay their respects included Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Usher, Taraji P. Henson, Halle Berry and Yolanda Adams.

Her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, turned up with new fiance Nick Gordon.

Houston died at the age of 48 the night before the Grammy Awards in February from accidental drowning complicated by drug use and heart disease.
