Haute 100 NY Update: Anderson Cooper’s Daytime Show Canceled

CNN announced today that it had canceled Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show, Anderson Live. The syndicated series will wrap up its second season but not return after this summer, an anonymous source told the New York Times.

Primetime CNN anchor Cooper made a well-publicized bid for daytime last year and received mixed notices for his show’s awkward balance of hard and tabloid news. The source said the reason for the cancellation was sagging ratings. The numbers did not improve despite an overhaul of the show for its second season, which included a rotating list of co-hosts and a new studio.
