Attention Foodies: The New Michelin Guide Releases This Week With Exclusive Celebration

Foodies, the week just became a little more exciting. The New 2013 Michelin Guide for the San Francisco Bay Area is set to release this week. The always-coveted guide is a comprehensive spread of the best of food and wine in the Bay Area. Being included in the Michelin Guide is a sign of excellence and quality.  San Francisco fine dining has always maintained a strong presence in the guide with the likes of the French Laundry, the Restaurant at the Meadowood, and Michael Mina.

Last week, Michelin revealed its coveted list of 2013 Bib Gourmand restaurants in the greater San Francisco area. The Bib Gourmands represent restaurants that serve two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less (tax and gratuity not included).  Simply stated, these are reasonably priced restaurants with the finest quality of food.

In the 2013 edition, 21 different types of cuisine are represented among the Bib Gourmands and include restaurants across the region, including San Francisco, East Bay, Wine Country, Marin, South Bay and the Peninsula.

The San Francisco Michelin Guide release will be commemorated with an invite-only event.  The exciting, much anticipated details will follow on Haute Living.
