Salaries of New ‘American Idol’ Judges Topping $30 Million
It’s official: Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj are joining Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson on the latest judging panel of “American Idol.”
But if former judge Jennifer Lopez’s demanding salary of $17 million sounded like a lot, it should be said that the total sum of the three newest panelists tops out at $30+ million.
Mariah Carey is walking away with a staggering $18 million on season 12, while it is being said that Nicki Minaj has demanded – and received – $8 million.
Country crooner Keith Urban is earning half of his female counterparts at between $3-5 million.
Aside from Carey, no one is making as as much as longtime host Ryan Seacrest, who reportedly earns $15 per season.
Let’s hope the salaries perk up numbers for the Fox series, which saw a ratings drop of 29% from season 10 to season 11.
