Joe Montana Talks Football and More at Millennium Tower Fireside Chat
San Francisco 49ers icon and Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana discusses football and more at the Millennium Tower Fireside Chats.

Each month, San Francisco’s Millennium Tower residents have the opportunity indulge in a very special treat known as the Millennium Tower Fireside Chats. As part of the Millennium La Vie social/community program, these moderated Fireside chats are held exclusively for residents and their guests.
The month of September brought a very special guest, San Francisco 49ers icon and Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana.
Montana, a Millennium Tower resident himself, discussed the football season preview and gave his picks for the season. With the 49ers leaving Candlestick Park soon, Montana also gave guests a look back at his days at the Stick.
The San Francisco icon also gave more personal insights into his life, touting his children, his mother and wife. When asked about his early days coming up and his choice about his football career, Montana, a triple-sport player in high school, responded, “In high school, if you would have made me choose, I would have chosen basketball.”
Thankfully for Montana and the city of San Francisco, switching to football was the right choice.
