International Automobile Salon in Moscow

The International Automobile Salon has kicked off in Moscow bringing together car fans and automotive professionals. With more than 100 car brands on display, the Moscow Motor Show features best-selling models, concept cars and luxury vehicles.

This year, 24 world premieres took place at the salon, with 86 Russian and 20 European models debuted in the Crocus Expo Exhibition Center.

According to Andrey Kolosov, Marketing director of Cadillac Russia, “At the Moscow saloon we show our premiere: Cadillac ATS. This is an extremely important product that will enter a very rich market segment of premium compact sedans. We also had an official Russian premiere of our two sport cars – Cadillac CTS sedan and CTS Coupe. They belong to the V-series – the cars that passed the Nurburgring testing. That’s one of the most demanding racing circuits in the world.”

The annual event is a great chance for thousands of car enthusiasts to be in the same room as some of the most highly anticipated model introductions, including this year’s fully renewed Mazda 6, Audi’s R8 supercar, BMW’s new 7 Series and off-road vehicles and Bentley’s fastest car to date.

Murat Urusov, head of sales for Bentley Russia, said, “We had the world premiere of the brand-new model Continental GT Speed. The level of the exhibition here is very important for us. The decision was made to present the car here in Moscow, in front of our Russian customers.”

Infinity chose the Moscow International Automobile Salon to demonstrate the special version of its JX crossover. Dedicated to the current F1 champion Sebastian Vettel, the limited edition car starts at $180,000.

Medium class vehicles were also highlighted during the salon, including Opel, Renault and Nissan who know their renewed mid-range sedans will be popular in Russia.
