Cab Couture – Dubai Introduces Luxury Cab Service

Residents and visitors to Dubai will now be able to benefit from a premier taxi experience as the Dubai Taxi Corporation (a division of the Roads and Transport Authority) has just launched a new luxury taxi service.

The initiative falls under the theme of “New Dimension of Transport Luxury” and aims to provide commuters with improved comfort and privacy. Although a premium will be charged, the service offers commuters the option to travel by Infiniti or Lexus vehicles with carefully selected and trained drivers for an overall higher quality experience. The drivers of these vehicles have been handpicked according to aptitude, command of the English language and appearance amongst other criteria. The cabs will pioneer a new technology which uses Samsung Galaxy phones with tailored Android apps to act as meters.
