A Classic at Any Age: Mother-Daughter Duos Rock the LBD in LA

News | September 12, 2012

Some things in life are timeless, as three generations of women proved on Monday night.

A LBD flattered the figures of Tippi Hedren and daughter Melanie Griffith at Fox’s Eco-Casino held at the Bookbindery in Culver City.

Dakota Johnson, Griffith’s daughter with Don Johnson, also attended the festivities, though she broke away from chic black for a more eye-catching red color.

She brought her mother and grandmother to the fete to celebrate her new Fox sitcom, “Ben & Kate.”

Also sporting a cross-generational love of the little black dress on Monday night was Andie MacDowell and daughters Rainey and Sarah Margaret Qualley.

The three brunette beauties attended a preview screening of Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel at LACMA looking sensational in a variety of short black frocks.
