Beverly Hills Shakes Up Things at Cocktail Week
Beverly Hills has always been known for glitz and glamour of upscale living, but the week of August 10 to 18, the city will be mixing and shaking for Cocktail Week with “farm-to-shaker” drinks. These beverages are exactly what they sound like, freshly prepared concoctions made from fresh herbs, fruits and veggies from the farm.
According to a press release about the lively event, here’s what Greta Dunlap, Manager of The Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market had to say, “Everyone has heard of farm-to-fork, but now all the rage is farm-to-shaker.” Dunlap adds, “Farmers’ market-driven cocktails offer the best of two worlds.”
All participating bars and restaurants will offer an exclusive cocktail made from special ingredients from the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market. Here’s a list of specialty cocktails that will be served at participating establishments:
Summer Peach Smash made of peach-infused Bourbon, lemon juice, mint leaf, simple syrup and Farmers’ Market peaches from Fitzgerald Farms, exclusively served at The BLVD/Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Cucumber-Blue Gin Fizz made of Cucumber Syrup, Blue Gin, Water, Lemon Balm Leaves, Lemon Juice, along with Farmers’ Market lemon balm and cucumbers, exclusively served at BierBeisl.
Blackberry Bramble made of Lucien Jacob Crème de Cassis, Blackberries, Nolet’s Gin, Lemon Juice and Farmers’ Market blackberries and lemons from Harry’s Berries, exclusively served at Bouchon.
Frozen Fresh Peach Bellini made of Farmers’ Market peaches, exclusively served at Momed – $10
The Betty Bitter made of Meyers Lemons, Pressed Organic Peaches, Egg Whites, Veev Acai Spirit, Peach Bitters and Farmers’ Market produce from Avila & Sons and Bernard Farms, exclusively served at Nic’s Beverly Hills including around-the-clock Happy Hour prices if you mention Beverly Hills Cocktail Week.
La Pesca Gustosa made of Pierre Ferrand 1840 Cognac, Applejack Brandy, Muddled Peaches, Lemon Juice, Sages and Farmers’ Market peaches from Tenerelli and lemons from Bernard Farms, exclusively served at Sotto for $10 when you mention Beverly Hills Cocktail Week.
Rosemary Ricky made of Orange Juice, Rosemary Sprig, Lemon Twist, Plymouth Gin, Lemon Juice, Rosemary Syrup and Farmers’ Market rosemary, lemons and lemons, exclusively served at £10/The Montage Hotel.

Cocktail Week will not only have cocktails but also special events such as a cocktail crafting class at Greystone Estate a week before and a free outdoor screening on August 12th of “Casablanca.”
