Following the 2012 Summer Olympics, all eyes are still on London, at least in terms of the hospitality industry. London’s South Kensington hotel landscape is about to be joined by the Ampersand Hotel, scheduled to open on August 29.
Primly located at the axis of Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Knightsbridge and Chelsea, the new Ampersand Hotel is housed in a late-19th century building and features 111 rooms and a 20-foot staircase installation accented with goose feather wings. According to Superyachts.com, there are also five suites with private balconies and a classically designed English drawing room where coffee and pastries are served.
The hotel is located close to the V&A, Royal Albert Hall and museums of Natural History & Science.
