$1.6 Million Raised at Southampton Hospital’s 54th Annual Summer Party

More than 900 guests showed their support for the Southampton Hospital’s 54th Annual Summer Party on August 4. Welcomed by benefit chair Laura Lofaro, guests at the Grand Prix Monaco-themed event were joined by models wearing Graff Diamonds and Formula 1 racing cars.

Guests enjoyed music by The Alex Donner Orchestra and dinner catered by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. This was Alex Donner’s 10th year performing at the annual event and guests headed to the dance floor at the after-party as he placed a rendition of “Money, Money” with rocker Madame Mayhem.

Approximately $1.6 million was raised at the Summer Party, which is the longest running annual fundraiser on the East End. The funds raised will enable critical support for the Jenny and John Paulson Emergency Department, a facility serving emergency care to more than 25,000 patients annually.

Robert Chaloner, Southampton Hospital President & CEO, welcome guests including Jean Remmel Fitz Simmons, Audrey and Martin Gruss, Veronica Webb and Chris Del Gatto, Jean and Martin Shafiroff, Southampton Mayor Mark Epley, Barbara and Terry Meguid, Whitney Fairchild, Henry Buhl, Somers and Jonathan Farkas, NY State Senator Ken LaValle, Harold Lorber and Sandra McConnell. Guests mingled under the tents at Wickapogue Road in Southampton designed by Steven Stolman. The evening was emceed by WNBC News 4 anchor Chuck Scarborough, who thanked both Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate and Graff Diamonds for their sponsorship support. Additional event supporters included Lucia Hwong Gordon, Cheri Kaufman, Cassandra Seidenfeld, Gillian Miniter, Lisa Simonsen, Leesa Rowland and Larry Wohl.
