News | July 17, 2012

Nature Conservancy, an organization that “protects Earth’s natural resources and beauty”, held its 12th annual Beach and Bays Gala last month at the Center for Conservation in East Hampton. This year’s event honored longtime Board chairman and conservation supporter, Jeff Hughes.

Among the 325 guests were committee leaders Alan and Christina MacDonald and Co-chairs Fred and Bettina Stelle. During the Beach and Bays Gala was a live auction, “Dough for H2O”, which raised $120,000 to help improving water quality in Long Island. The event raised a whopping $610,000.
