Bronx native Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean is truly a renaissance man. A renowned music producer, he is also a rapper, painter, CEO, entrepreneur, new father, husband to R&B superstar, Alicia Keys, and the United Nations’ Music Ambassador for World Peace. He was recently given the title of NYU’s first ever Producer-in-Residence at the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music at the Tisch School of the Arts, where teaches students through one-on-one sessions, group lectures, and songwriting critique.
Swizz’s accolades in the music industry has led him to become one of the most respected rapper/producers in his field. His work can be found on more than 100 million albums sold. This quality makes Swizz a popular collaborator on music’s biggest projects.
The first single from his newest and aptly named album Haute Living was released on March 28, 2011 to rave reviews, with the rest of the album soon to follow.
