As the long week rolled into the weekend, partygoers in Los Angeles suddenly found themselves in the midst of a Terrence Malick movie as they entered Hollywood’s Supper Club.

Rubbing elbows with celebrities at a club isn’t necessarily that uncommon in Los Angeles, but when guests entered Hollywood’s Supper Club on Friday evening, they were greeted with posted notices from Dogwood Films, director Terrence Malick’s production company, informing them that they would be filmed as they entered the venue.

Not only were guests filmed upon arrival, but A-list Hollywood actor Christian Bale was spotted inside the club, seated in a “vintage electric chair with a tin cup surrounded by club-goers rocking him back and forth on a raised platform.” Malick was the only cameraman in sight with one lighting assistant and according to sources, the trio were shooting a scene for an upcoming film called “Knight of Cups”, which looks at a man reflecting on a series of relationships with women.

Perhaps most famous for his role in “American Psycho”, Bale is also the star of “The Dark Knight Rises,” which premieres in Hollywood on July 16.
