Individuals who plan to bring their luxury yachts to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London will be able to easily access land as London’s docklands are transformed into a luxury marina during the event.

In addition to the dock and access to speedboat taxis that will take yacht owners to events, a 300-foot long private beach with lounges and a nightclub will also be created for leisure.

According to reports, among the many wealthy individuals expected to bring their superyachts to the Olympic games is billionaire Roman Abramovich. He owns a 538 feet long yacht called Eclipse and a 181-foot long yacht called Altitude, both of which are expected to be used to charter Abramovich and his guests at the events in London.

Other high-net-worth individuals expected to park their yachts at the specially constructed marina including George Clooney, Paul Allen, Sir Donald Gosling and Hungarian former bobsleigh Olympian Nicholas Frankl.

According to Benjamin Sutton, from concierge service MGMT, “Whatever a superyacht owner can expect in St. Tropez or Monaco, they will get it here. It will be like Monaco during the Grand Prix.”
