Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation's 3rd Annual Unconditional Love Benefit

On July 21, the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation held their 3rd annual Unconditional Love Benefit at the waterfront home of Sandra McConnell. The event raised more than $375,000 to benefit the foundation.

Emceed by NBC “New York Live” anchor Jane Hanson, the event featured live entertainment by the Alex Donner Orchestra. More than 300 guests attended, including Martin Shafiroff, Elizabeth Shafiroff, CeCe, Lee Black, Somers and Jonathan Farkas, Lydia and Rudy Touzet, Jean Little, Howard Marton, SASF Founder Susan Allen and more.

The 3rd annual Unconditional Love Benefit also included cocktails, a silent auction, dinner and dancing. There were also pets up for adoption at the event that guests could play with.

Event Chairwoman Jean Shafiroff and Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s President Jonathan McCann honored Chuck and Ellen Scarborough at the event. Others in attendance include: Board Exec. V.P. Sony Schotland, Treasurer Steve Greenfield, Board members Joel Cooper and Jay Durante, Darlene Rodriguez, David Ushery and Lynda Baquero from NBC, Linda and Kim Renk, Chris Obetz, Melanie and John Wambold, Cassandra Seidenfeld and Robert Lyster, Dara Sowell, Henry Buhl, Lucia Hwong Gordon, Margo and John Catsimatidis, Yaz and Valentine Hernandez, Southampton Mayor Mark Epley and his wife Marianne, Southampton Hospital President Robert Chaloner, Spencer and Alexis Morgan, Sherry Kaufman and Bill Slight. Margo Nederlander, Jimmy Nederlander, Charlotte Nederlander, and Jimmy Nederlander Sr.

Founded in 2010, the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation took a stand for action when the town could no longer care for animals at the town shelter premises. The shelter is a non-profit organization relying on the generosity of individuals and businesses to help save lives at the adoption center and provide much-needed programs that benefit homeless pets.
