Sir Elton and Chopard's White Tie & Tiara Ball

News | July 2, 2012

This weekend Sir Elton John and partner, David Furnish invited guests into their marvelous Old Windsor home for the 14th annual White Tie & Tiara Ball, sponsored by  Chopard. This year’s event theme was Motown, and guest such as Florence Welch, George Michael, Lara Stone, Grace Jones, Lizzie Jagger, and Dame Shirley Bassey, embraced the soul of the party, which was complete with a performance by Smokey Robinson. Many of the esteemed guests such as Naomi Watts, Beth Ditto, Matthew Morrison and the evening’s hosts sported some of Chopard’s dazzling creations.

After dinner, the guests were treated to a film of Caroline Scheufele’s trip to the Ukraine. Caroline Scheufele is the head of the jewelry division for Chopard and ventured to the Ukraine to visit the projects of the Elton John AIDS Foundation.  The evening raised 4 Million Pounds for the cause—and seeing that Sir Elton accompanied Smokey Robinson on stage to sing “My Girl,” we’d say it was well worth the ticket price.
