“I’m Yvetta”. Those are the very first English words that Russian-American actress, Natasha Alam, says in the hit HBO series, “True Blood”. As the character Yvetta, Natasha Alam embraces the mystical world of sultry vampires, primitive werewolves, and discreet shapeshifters in the town of Bon Temp, a role that has elevated her career to an impressively higher state. Although Alam may play the seductive exotic dancer of Fangtasia on the vampire series, she is nothing but business when it comes to her other talented acting references such as NYPD Blue, Nip/Tuck, The Unit, and the ever popular CSI. But she didn’t start out as a serious actress. Before debuting in these well-known television series’, Natasha Alam spent a significant deal of her life as a professional model for International Model Management (IMM), in which she acted as a specialized jet-setter, travelling from London, Paris, Milan, and Rome, to model for global fashion labels, such as Versace, Gucci, Christian Dior, John Galiano, Trussardi, Vivienne Westwood, and Rocco Barrocco. After studying the “Lee Strasburg Acting Techniques” in London, England, Alam decided that it was time to make a risky, yet promising, career move, and relocated to Hollywood, California to audition for roles; a move that has proved beneficial to her lifestyle. Now although Alam is already engulfed in the Los Angeles scene, she adores the setting of San Francisco for its comfortable elegance, and enjoys visitng this favorite city of hers anytime her schedule allows her to. With her star on a constant rise, and a royal princess title to back her up, Natasha Alam is the new celebrity to be witnessed and admired
