Maserati's Competitor to Porsche 911 and Audi R8 to Debut in 2015
The manufacturers at Maserati are currently working on a brand competitor to the Porsche 911 and the Audi R8 in the form of an all-new two-seater sports car.
Powered by a new Ferrari-developed V6 engine, the mid-engined, driver-oriented halo car will feature rear-wheel drive and a carbon fiber chassis. Maserati will probably name the high-performance vehicle GranSport. With increased speed and decreased weight compared to the rest of Maserati’s fleet, the car’s weight will only hit an estimated 2,646 pounds.
