Marijke Koger’s Psychedelic Fashion Exhibition Officially Opens at Sonos Studio

News | July 19, 2012

The Dutch artist Marijke Kiger-Dunham has officially open an exhibition at Sonos Studio on La Brea that features some of the most psychedelic prints, drawings, costumes, paintings, original fashion sketches and lithographs from the Beatles Apple Boutique in London. Many may remember some of the artist 1960s styles that many bands have rocked like The Beatles, Cream and The Move. If you enjoyed these styles, then you would love Marijke Koger-Dunham, because the Dutch artist was completely responsible for dressing these artists.

Along with her fame as a stylist for these legendary music icons, she also launched her own clothing line called Astraflash, exclusively sold at Nordstroms and Saks. Also, the artist lent her psychedelic skills to album artwork as a member of the design collective and band The Fool. Another album artwork added to her portfolio is the inside sleeve of the popular Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club record.

The exhibition will be held from now until Sunday, from 12pm to 6pm and will end this Sunday, July 22nd.
