His artistry with hair and beauty has pioneered now universal techniques, like “American Tailoring,” hair “dusting” and “smudging.” Vo brings hair, beauty, and style to a global audience through magazine articles and TV shows, such as “Extreme Makeover,” “Daily 10,” and his own show, “Shear Genius.” His state-of-the-art salons in Las Vegas, Laguna Beach, San Francisco and Beverly Hills, and his own Kim Vo product line make him just as successful a business owner as he is a celebrity colorist.
