Haute Event: Aloe Blacc Gets the Party Going at the Boulevard Pool

Aloe Blacc got the crowd moving at BLVD Social Club — Thursdays Live at the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas with songs including “Downtown,” “Green Lights” and hit single “I Need a Dollar” on Thursday night.

Before releasing his first solo album, Shine Through, in 2006, Aloe Blacc collaborated with friend DJ Exile to form the hip hop group Emanon. The release of his second album, Good Things, earned him the title track for the HBO series “How to Make It in America.”

Next up at BLVD Social Club — Thursdays Live is Yellow Ostrich on Thursday, Aug. 9, and Fun on Thursday, Aug. 16.
