Emeril Lagasse's UES Townhouse Spices Up Market With $13.5 Million Listing
After several months on the market under Gumley Haft Kleier, Emeril Lagasse is now listing his five bedroom, six bath Upper East Side townhouse with Sotheby’s for $13.5 million. The combustible Cajun chef initially put the 158 East 61st residence up for sale in November with an initial asking price of $15 million. The 19′ wide limestone has an elevator, four fireplaces, a wine cellar/”grotto” and a terrace with sweeping city views. The kitchen is nothing to sneeze at either, of course, but we’re more intrigued by the perilously narrow mattresses depicted in the Sotheby’s boudoir shots.
