Ashton Kutcher Films Scenes for new Steve Jobs Movie at LMU

Hollywood actor Ashton Kutcher was channeling former Apple CEO Steve Jobs as he shot scenes for the upcoming movie, “Jobs”, at Loyola Marymount University (LMU).
University students and onlookers were able to snap some photos of Kutcher as he shot scenes for the upcoming movie, which will chronicle Steve Jobs’ life and career between 1971 and 2000. Filming for the movie began last month in Los Altos, at the very home where Jobs and friend and co-worker Steve Wozniak built the original Apple computer.
“Jobs” was written by Matt Whiteley and is directed by Joshua Michael Sterm. In addition to Kutcher, other celebrities who will star in the film include Matthew Modine, J.K. Simmons, James Wood and Dermot Mulroney. Josh Glad is to play Steve Wozniak in the film.
According to producer Mark Hulme, “When Ashton read the script he was immediately attracted to the project. He is a Steve Jobs and Apple fan, and is technologically savvy, as well, so he recognized the historical importance of Steve Jobs and the potential of the project.”
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recently back the casting of Kutcher as Jobs, saying, “The fear that many might have is that Ashton was selected because he’s “hot” right now. But I feel that his selection was done in the most professional manner. And I’m glad that he’s on board. I think he’ll put a lot into it and that he cares about this particular subject. … My hopes are that this film turns out as truthful and genuine as possible. I can’t judge that aspect until the film is done and I see it.”
