News | June 27, 2012

Five of New York City’s finest food trucks and the New York Public Library have joined forces to help promote the Library’s newest, free exhibition Lunch Hour NYC. Starting Wednesday, June 27th through Labor Day, five delectable food trucks will take their turns parking at West 40th Street and Fifth Avenue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m, Monday through Friday. The participating vendors are Mexicue Truck, Schnitzel & Things, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Rickshaw Dumplings and Eddie’s Pizza. A portion of the trucks’ sales will be donated to Bryant Park and The New York Public Library.

The Library’s Lunch Hour NYC exhibit, which opened Friday, June 22nd, explains the progression of the midday meal in New York City. The exhibit is divided into a variety of lunches such as quick lunches, meals at home, charitable lunches and power lunches. Lunch Hour NYC will be on display in the New York Public Library through Sunday, February 17th, 2013.
