Haute Event: DJ Jazzy Jeff Kicks Off Summertime at the Palms Pool & Bungalows

It was only natural DJ Jazzy Jeff performed at Ditch Fridays in Palms Pool & Bungalows at Palms on Friday afternoon for the first official pool party of summertime. Sporting a Philadelphia Phillies jersey, shorts and Nike LeBron 9 Low “USA” kicks (supporting LeBron James’ and Miami Heat’s recent NBA Championship win), Jazzy was joined by his hype-man MC Skillz for the performance at the popular adult pool party.

To start the duo’s performance, a champagne shower from the Palms Pool ladies covered guests as the danced up against the stage. Jazzy began with up-tempo unique mixes of popular hits including LMFAO’s “Shots,” Chris Webby’s “WDGAF” and Alexandra Stan’s “Mr. Saxo Beat.” He even mixed favorite throwbacks like Bob Marley’s “One Love” and “Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston.

In an interview before his performance, DJ Jazzy Jeff was asked what his favorite musical memory was and he said, “I don’t think I’ve had it yet. This has been a dream and I’m still living it.” In the same interview, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air star also said Will Smith is the artist he is the most proud to have worked with, “when we started he sat on the step and said he wanted to make movies and I said I wanted to do music and even till today we kind of look at each other and say ‘wow, we really did that.’”
