Haute 100 NY Update: Michael Bloomberg Gives Thumbs Up to ‘Girls’
Some of Michael Bloomberg’s constituents accuse the mayor of neglecting the outer boroughs, but Bloomberg has come out swinging in support of Girls, HBO’s gritty Brooklyn-based comedy. “”We love the show for inspiring people to move to New York City and become the ‘voice of a generation,’ as Hannah would say,” Bloomberg said shortly after the mayor’s office posted a photo of him with series creator Lena Dunham.
