Cliff’s Edge In Silverlake Opens New Oyster Bar

News | June 5, 2012

If you’re in the mood for romance, you should probably head to Silverlake this summer as a second establishment has announced its intent to specialize in oyster shucking.

Cliff’s Edge is following in the footsteps of L & E Oyster Bar by creating its own oyster extravaganza on its outside patio come June 14.

Chef Benjamin Bailly of Fraiche and Petrossian fame is overseeing the new venture. Naturally, he’ll stock the best of the best from San Diego’s Farmfresh Shellfish. Twenty varieties will consistently be up for offer; others like Morro Bay Pacific Golds will be offered when available for delivery.

The already romantic restaurant is literally becoming a hotbed for sultry summer nights with its new offering of aphrodisiacs.  Cliff’s Edge also plans on upping its game by creating a champagne, wine and oyster pairing menu. Mixologist Richard Swan will also create a weekly cocktail special to get patrons in the mood for love.
