Rita Moreno Hosts Annual ONSTAGE Gala Benefitting the Berkeley Repertory Theatre

Rita Moreno hosted the annual ONSTAGE gala this year on April 28 at the Four Seasons San Francisco, celebrating and benefiting the renowned Berkeley Repertory Theatre. The hilarious evening raised more than $510,000.

Rita Moreno introduced the night with some comedy, roasting Artistic Director Tony Taccone, Spotlight Sponsors Mary and Nick Graves, Helen and John Meyer and Pamela Nichter as she sang her teasing version of a famous song.

Notable guests like Tom Bates, Keith Carson, Loni Hancock, Nancy Skinner and Sharig Yosufzai exchanged laughs with the Puerto Rican actress. The nine Spotlight Sponsors that supported ONSTAGE were Chevron, the Ira & Leonore Gershwin Trusts, Nick & Mary Graves and Michael & Sue Steinberg, Julie McCray, Meyer Sound, Osterweis Capital Management, Marjorie Randolph, the Roda Group and the Woytak-Rasmussen Family.

As part of the evening, guests were served wines and spirits as well as a lavish four-course meal prepared by the executive chef of the Four Seasons San Francisco, Mark Richardson. They also participated in an auction that featured fabulous items like a seven-day trip to New York offered by Jean and Mike Strunsky, which included exclusive access to fabulous destinations.
