McLaren’s Mp4-C12 Exceeds Expectations In U.S., New Model In Works
Officials at McLaren weren’t sure how the MP4-12C would be received in the United States, worried that the McLaren name wasn’t famous enough to command respect among buyers. However, McLaren built its 1000th car in February, and 40 percent of the orders were coming from the U.S.
The sheer thrust of the twin-turbo V8 engine, the ride quality and the responsiveness of the chassis are all impressive features of the McLaren. It’s even being compared to the Ferrari 458, which is no small compliment.
