Luce to Headline 2012 Walnut Creek Art and Wine Festival

News | May 14, 2012

San Francisco-based rock band Luce will play a free concert during this year’s Walnut Creek Art and Wine Festival, a two-day celebration now in its 31st year.

Luce, known for songs like “Good Day” and “Corner of the World,” shares the schedule with Bay Area favorites Finding Stella, student musicians from Foothill Middle School and other bands. In addition to two live music stages, the festival features the work of more than 200 artists and craftspeople and an impressive selection of food offerings. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase, and a grape-stomping competition adds an exciting opportunity to explore the wine making process.

The family-friendly event includes a children’s play area and activities for kids, as well.

The 2012 Walnut Creek Art and Wine Festival kicks off on Saturday, June 2, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and continues from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 3. Activities take place at Heather Park Farm, 301 North San Carlos Drive, Walnut Creek. On-site parking is available for a fee, while free event parking and shuttles are available at the city’s Shadelands Business Park.

Festival entrance is free. To learn more, visit www.walnut-creek.com or call 925-934-2007.
