Haute Treasures Await With Ramekins Culinary Walking Tours

News | May 22, 2012

If you haven’t already discovered the largest Chinatown in North America, then now is the time!  President Obama  himself couldn’t resist San Francisco’s  Chinatown, a culinary gem full of hidden treasures.

On Wednesday, May 23, Ramekins Culinary School is hosting an exclusive walking tour of San Francisco’s infamous Chinatown with award-winning cookbook author, instructor, and San Francisco native, Joyce Jue, from 10am-2pm.

With its complex culture and rich tradition, it is easy to believe that San Francisco Chinatown is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia as well as the oldest Chinatown in North America.

For $100 per person, the intimate walking tour will take you into the heart of Chinatown’s high-end treasures, including stops at traditional cafés and tea rooms, a fourth floor walk-up Chinese temple, and outdoor produce stands.  The insider’s trek concludes with a visit to a bustling dim sum parlor where you’ll sample Joyce’s favorite bite-size delights.

Space is limited.  Tours can be booked online  www.ramekins.com or by contacting Ramekins at 707-933-0450, info@ramekins.com.
