Haute Event: Karina Smirnoff Hosts a Pre-Billboard Music Awards Party at Tabú
Professional dancer and former champion of ABC’s hit reality series “Dancing with the Stars” Karina Smirnoff hosted a pre-Billboard Music Awards party at Tabú at the MGM Grand on Saturday night. Smirnoff arrived at the nightclub just after her friend Carson Kressley, an Emmy Award-winning television star, stylist and “Dancing with the Stars: Live in Las Vegas” celebrity dancer.
Smirnoff arrived at the club with a small group of friends including Jonathon and Drew Scott from the hit TV show “Property Brothers.” After dining at Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak, also at MGM Grand, Smirnoff arrived at the red carpet wearing a tight black dress accentuated by Christian Louboutin pumps and playfully smiled for photographers. After posing for pictures and signing autographs for fans on the carpet, Smirnoff and her friends made their way inside the stylish nightclub. Once settled into their VIP table in front of the DJ booth, the group sipped hand-crafted Grey Goose cocktails.
Without missing a beat, the dancer jumped into the DJ booth with DJ Kid Jay to spin some of her own beats. Smirnoff and friends began dancing to “Shots” by LMFAO featuring Lil Jon, “The Time” by The Black Eyed Peas and “Yeah 3X” by Chris Brown, among others. The group of stars partied late into the night as DJ Kid Jay and Tabú’s sultry go-go dancers kept the crowded club on the dance floor.
