Haute Event: January Jones Hosts Screening Of ‘La Revolution Bleue’

News | May 4, 2012

On May 3rd, Mad Men’s hautest housewife and Oceana ambassador January Jones along with luxury skincare brand La Mer hosted an exclusive screening of the documentary  ‘La Revolution Bleue’ at the chic Paris Theatre for art auction power-player, Christie’s.

‘La Revolution Bleue,’ chronicles the creation of  artist Yves Klein’s famed FC 1 painting, giving industry insiders a chance to witness the artist’s brilliance.

The art aficionados in attendance sipped custom Grey Goose cocktails along side notable guests like Susan and David Rockefeller, Ted Danson and Steven Murphy.

An exclusive after-party was held at midtown hot-spot Casa Lever directly following the screening where gusts enjoyed Blue Cosmo cocktails and small bites and danced to the sounds of DJ Luka Tacon.

The painting, which will be sold at Christie’s Post War and Contemporary Evening Sale tonight May 8, is currently set to break the world record for the artist at auction with an expected sale price of $30M. A portion of proceeds from the painting’s sale will benefit Oceana, the world’s largest international ocean advocacy organization.
