American Institute of Architects Los Angeles’ 8th Annual Restaurant Design Awards Competition

We all know, being avid diners, that atmosphere plays as big of a role as food and service in the dining experience. To honor the outstanding work of restaurant, bar and nightclub designers, the American Institute of Architects Los Angeles’ (AIAILA) panel of judges have nominated 16 finalists in the three categories (Restaurant, Café/Bar, Lounge/Nightclub) for the 8th annual Restaurant Design Awards (RDA) Competition. The judges are KCRW radio personality, chef and restaurateur Evan Kleiman, renowned architect Mark Rios, FAIA and Bravo’s Top Chef winner and restaurateur Michael Voltaggio – all who agreed in nominees that got creative with their designs.

The Restaurant Design Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 22 as part of the annual Dwell on Design event. There will also be a People’s Choice Award for each category, with voting being available until June 18 at noon.
