Haute Fashion Daily: 2008 Hermes Crocodile Birkin Bag Sold for $59,000

Just a days after the Hermes “Leather Forever” exhibition has opened its doors to leather bag lovers everywhere, there is now an exclusive auction going at Bonhams, Knightsbridge, in which they have auctioned off sixty-four of the most iconic Hermes bags ever made. So far this event has brought in a total of nearly $890,000, with the exclusive selection of bags from 1950s-2008.

The exhibition sold an exclusive 1999 Hermes black patent crocodile Kelly bag, along with two Hermes crocodile Constance bags for $33,553, a 2003 dark brown crocodile Birkin bag for $47,368, but the biggest sale was of the 2008 Hermes dark brown crocodile Birkin bag that sold for a grand of total of $58,816.
