1494 Whisky Membership Club to Launch June 1

In celebration of Scotch Whisky’s 518th anniversary, David Clelland’s heavily anticipated NYC-based private membership club called 1494 is set to launch on June 1.

The Collector and Connoisseur memberships will begin to accept applications from Whisky-lovers who are looking to enjoy exclusive benefits and privileges such as working with a team of experts to build a strong collection of Single Malt Scotch, as well as share the exceptional appreciation for Scotch Whisky.

1494 is named in honor of the first written record of Scotch Whisky’s distillation at the orders of Scotland’s Renaissance King, James IV, which occurred on June 1, 1494.
