Alfa Romeo’s new halo model, a concept unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, will be designed and built by Maserati, Fiat Group’s luxury sports car brand. The new halo model, already dubbed the 4C, will be a rear-wheel-drive coupe.
The 4C will be a two-seater with a central new aluminum 4-cylinder 1.8-liter turbocharged direct-injection engine. Alfa Romeo chose Maserati to build the 4C because of their expertise is designing hand-built low-volume models. Plans for the 4C include weighing an extraordinary 1,874 pounds.
