With Easter just around the corner, chef friends Marcel Vigneron and Haru Kishi decided it’d be fitting to combine their love of cooking with their interest in eggs and open a pop-up called “The Coop” over Easter weekend.

Kishi, who was previously the chef of Chava Brasserie in Beverly Hills said, “We’re always cooking eggs, at home, at other people’s houses, in the middle of the night.”

Vigneron, who made an appearance on the second season of “Top Chef” added, “We kind of became notorious for our egg dishes.”

At “The Coop”, Vigneron and Kishi will prepare a five-course brunch from Friday morning through Easter Sunday. Located at Gonpachi on La Cienega, “The Coop” will serve items such as egg with truffle, deep-friend “nesting egg” with bacon, strawberries and sabayon with brioche bread pudding and salmon mi-cuit with deconstructed egg. Devon Espinosa from Pour Vous bar will be creating cocktails for the event.

Costing $38 per person, the five-course brunch will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.

Gonpachi restaurant is located at 134 N. La Cienega Blvd. Beverly Hills.
