Los Angeles’ first Hispanic Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, is asking President Obama’s administration for an increase in federal revenue to help pay for the city’s anti-gang forces. Villaraigosa has partnered with fellow mayors in order to achieve success in Washington, and has spoken out at the second annual National Summit on Preventing Youth Violence.
