Celebrating anniversaries in style is common among luxury brands, so it comes as no surprise that to mark the 20th anniversary of the Ferrari brand in China, the company is releasing a special edition Ferrari 458 Italia along with the opening of its Italia Center at the Shanghai World Expo Park.

The release of a special edition luxury vehicle is nothing new for brands like Ferrari, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce and Bentley, but Ferrari is coinciding the release of their special edition 458 Italia with the grand opening of the new Italia Center located at the Shanghai World Expo Park to mark their 20 years of existence in the Chinese market.

The Ferrari 458 Italia special edition is limited to only 20 cars, each sporting a Chinese design along with a Marco Polo Red paint job. The luxury vehicles will also sport longma art that is reminiscent of the “vigor and spirit of the legendary dragon-horse.” A gold dragon will be painted on the front hood with a black background and gold stripes and gold will be used for the wheels and on the front fascia trim. On the inside, “20th Anniversary Special Edition” will be embroidered on a plaque on the headrest and a start button will be inscribed with the Chinese characters for “start”. Details about the price of this special edition vehicle have not yet been disclosed.

The first Ferrari, a 348 TS, was sold into the Chinese market back in 1992. The Ferrari Exhibition at the Shanghai World Expo will include five themes: Ferrari in China, Green Technology, Products, Design and Racing. Current plans have the exhibition up for three years.
