Emeril Lagasse Headlines Chef Lineup at Auction Napa Valley
From May 31 to June 3 at this year’s Auction Napa Valley, don’t get startled if you hear “BAM! BAM! BAAAAM!” It’s only Emeril Lagasse cooking up one of his Creole inspired dishes. The event, which is known for its fine wine, also has an impressive lineup of renowned Chefs from Napa Valley and around the nation. Headlining these white-apron wearing wizards of cuisine is none other than Lagasse.
The American Wine Classic fundraiser hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners will provide an elegant array of fine wines to accompany Lagasse’s dinner under the stars, which is on June 2. The dinner follows the popular live auction. Lagasse will cook a few of his favorites, including: Pacific Salmon Crudo, Roasted Colorado Lamb Rack and Fresh Strawberry Trifle.
Prior to the live auction, Napa’s own Ad Hoc restaurant, represented by Thomas Keller’s Chef de Cuisine Dave Cruz, will prepare an American comfort food picnic-style lunch on Meadowood’s lawn. The lunch will feature Ad Hoc’s famous Fried Chicken and Cornbread, a perfect meal before the live auction, which will benefit local Napa Valley charities.
Not to be outdone by Saturday’s cuisine extraordinaire, Thursday and Friday also have an array of culinary greats serving up meals. Regional chefs like San Francisco’s Michael Tusk, Napa Valley’s Cindy Pawlcyn, Meadowood’s Three-Michelin-Star Chef Christopher Kostow will prepare meals to accompany the Napa Valley Wines.
Friday is Barrel & E-Auctions Day, and a score of restaurants are serving dishes including, Auberge du Soleil, etoile at Domaine Chandon, Farmstead Restaurant, Fish Story Napa River, Morimoto Napa, PRESS and many more.
Tickets for Auction Napa Valley are $2,500 per person and a very limited number of Full Passport tickets are still available. So get them while you still can!
