Copita Tequileria y Comida Grand Opening on May 1

With Cinco De Mayo at our fingertips, why not start the festivities early?  Copita is the newest restaurant opening in downtown Sausalito on Tuesday, May 1.

Copita is the vision of legendary restaurateur, Larry Mindel, and San Francisco food personality and cookbook author, Joanne Weir.  The bar program is inspired by Joanne Weir’s recent cookbook, Tequila: A Guide to Types, Flights, Cocktails and Bites and features a drink list of six tequila-based cocktails, three mezcals, wines on tap, agua frescas and other non-alcoholic drinks.

Most impressively, the Copita drink menu features 87 (yes, 87!) sipping tequilas, which are available alone or in flights: Blancos and reposados are served with a nine-ingredient sangrita garnished with jicama, cucumber & a lightly grilled pineapple, and anejos and extra anejos are served straight.

Copita is open for lunch and dinner daily in the dining room, bar, and outdoor patio.

Just a hop, skip and a jump from the city; another great reason for a tasty getaway across the Golden Gate!
