Executives, stars and supporters wined and dined during the spectacular Spring Starlight Event, the glitzy benefit for the Bay Area After-School All-Stars, a non-profit organization which provides free, comprehensive out-of-school programming for under-served youth.
The inaugural Spring Starlight was held at the majestic Silicon Valley Stonebrook Estate. Guests mingled while enjoying cocktails, dinner, live and silent auctions followed by live music and dancing. The children of the Bay Area After-School All-Stars shined as they greeted guests and personally wrote heartfelt cards in each gift-bag.
The honorary host committee included Ben Boyer, Managing Director director of Tenaya Capital; Brett Brewer, Chairman of Adknowledge; Charlie Faas, Executive Vice President and CFO of Sharks Sports and Entertainment; Katie Stanton, Vice President of International Strategy at Twitter and Kelly Porter, Managing Partner of Woodside Capital Partners, and also owner of the Stonebrook Estate.
The Spring Starlight was a tremendous success that benefitted the 2300 children of the Bay Area After-School All-Stars.
About the Bay Area After-School All-Stars
Beginning in 1997, The Bay Area After-School All-Stars have been working in low-income communities to close the opportunity gap by empowering kids with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence needed to succeed in life. From Kindergarten through eighth grade, All-Stars students are given a safe space to finish homework, stay active, and foster their creativity, all with the support of positive young adult role models. We look forward to the day when opportunities for success are distributed equally among children of all social and economic backgrounds.
