The 5th Annual Walk With Sally Bowl-A-Prom

On Saturday March 31, Walk With Sally will host their 5th annual peer-to-peer fundraising bowling event at Lucky Strike Lanes in Torrance, benefiting children of parents or siblings with cancer.

The twist to a traditional walk-a-thon, golf-a-thon, run-a-thon, march-a-thon, cook-a-thon, dance-a-thon, kiss-a-thon, is a BOWL-A-PROM!, bowling for a child while listening to your favorite and classic prom songs is a One-of-a-Kind family friendly and fun fundraising event. The experience of bowling with a tuxedo or gala dress will be fun for both kids and adults to enjoy.

The mission of the Bowl-a-Prom is to raise money for our quarterly Friendship Group Activities which include day-trips to Disneyland, Whale Watching, Horseback riding, Mountain climbing as well as our Temporary Family Support Program at Walk With Sally. This program provides financial assistance to Walk With Sally families experiencing economic hardship. The financial support is intended to help Walk With Sally families focus on their health and recovery instead of worrying about paying rent, bills, gas, food, medical supplies and utilities for a short period of time. The goal is to reduce the financial stresses of daily living in order to increase the mental and physical fight towards recovery, hope and healing.
