Stella McCartney Launches Team GB Olympic Kit

British fashion designer Stella McCartney has unveiled the uniform that will be worn by British athletes during the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympic Games. Adidas appointed McCartney as the creative director for the project.

Inspired by the Union Jack flag, Stella McCartney’s team kit for British athletes at the 2012 Olympic Games was recently modeled by more than 30 athletes and features printed versions of the flag on T-shirts and leotards. The line also features Adidas’s technological advancements like CLIMACOOL moisture management.

Those interested in getting their hands on replicas of the British kit can find swimwear and cycling attire available at retails outlets in April.

The British team isn’t the only one who will be stylish during the 2012 London Games – the Team USA kit was designed by Ralph Lauren and the Italian Olympic team has their sporting and formal wear kits created by Giorgio Armani.
