Middle East’s Most Expensive Chocolate Unveiled in Dubai

Debauve & Gallais have created the most expensive box of chocolate sold in the Middle East, priced at $105 per pound, to be sold in Dubai at the company’s first Middle East shop.
The box contains different milk chocolates and will be sold for $105 per pound at the new Debauve & Gallais shop in Dubai. Included in the box are Truffles and Marie Antoinette’s famous pistoles. According to reports from Packaged Facts, the premium chocolate market has seen a 20% increase each year for the past ten years and annual sales went from $1.2 billion in 2005 to $1.7 billion in 2009.
The luxurious box of chocolates are the most expensive available in the Middle East and also are now included on the Forbes list of the world’s most expensive chocolate. The most expensive chocolate, according to Forbes, is Chocopoligie by Knipschildt, selling at $2,600 per pound.
