The Hollywood & Highland Center, which has been dubbed the Kodak Theatre, will remain the home of the Oscars next year according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

On Wednesday the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the 2013 Oscar Award ceremony will take place in the Hollywood & Highland Center (more commonly known as the Kodak Theatre), despite speculation that the ceremony may be moving to a new venue.

Rumored to have out-grown the Kodak Theatre, the Oscars are in fact staying put and will be hosted in the theatre on February 24, 2013. Many believed that the Academy would be taking the award ceremony to a larger Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, but confirmation has now been made that no such change of venue will be occurring.

The nominees for the 85th Academy Awards will be announced on January 15, 2013.
