Italian fashion house Gucci has joined forces with Riva to create a luxury yacht that reflects the tradition of excellence in design and creativity that both companies have come to be known for.

The Aquariva yacht is a made-to-order vessel that was customized by Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini. The yacht was part of the 90th anniversary celebrations for Gucci and is the result of a haute collaboration between two of Italy’s most luxurious brands.

The yacht features a 33-foot hull with intricate attention to detail and the perfect mix of contemporary and traditional design and craftsmanship. Detailing on the hull was painted in a glossy white hue with a mahogany varnish finish. The vessel also features high-quality material in the cockpit, walking decks and an awning cover hatch.

Gucci detailing is obvious throughout the yacht, including a sun deck with waterproof emblematic Gucci fabric with intertwined “Gs” on the covers and seats. The yacht’s upholstery is the white cotton of Gucci and green-red-green detailing is seen around the edges of the floating line.

Norberto Ferretti, Chairman of the Ferretti Group which Riva is part of, said,  “The Aquariva bears outstanding witness to Riva’s natural evolution from past to present in the sphere of boat styling, through an elegance and delicacy of line that in a span of 33 feet holds the same attention to detail and love of tradition inspiring the Forever Now spirit of Gucci. I can’t wait to see this Aquariva by Gucci in the water, a project that perfectly represents the balance between tradition and modernity, destined to become a symbol of Italian style and craftsmanship.”

The original Aquariva yacht was designed by Officina Italiana Design in 2000.

The Aquariva by Gucci was unveiled at the International Cannes Boat Show.
