Gene Simmons to Open New Restaurant Concept for Music Fans

Rocker, media mogul and reality star Gene Simmons has partnered with restaurateur Michael Zislis and concert promoter Dave Furano to launch a new restaurant and entertainment concept for music lovers called Rock & Brews™.

Rock & Brews™ brings together the excitement of live concerts, rock art and food all in one place to cater to rock and roll lovers and music fans. The venues will feature a “Great Wall of Rock”, a wide selection of craft beer, rock posters, art and flat screen TVs.

The first restaurant is expected to open on April 3 in El Segundo, just south of Los Angeles International Airport. The group is looking to open more locations through 2012-13 in the Los Angeles area, Maui, Hawaii, Denver, Atlanta, Tokyo and Los Cabos.

The menu will include casual American cuisine with dishes like “Opening Acts” appetizers, “VIP” salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas and desserts. On the flat screen TVs Rock & Brews™ will show concert videos and live recordings of rock concerts. Picnic tables, concert lighting and projection screens with speakers will create rock and roll ambiance in the space.

The venue is family and dog friendly with a play area for kids and a open-air space where dogs and roam.

Benefitting Wounded Warrior Project™, the opening of Rock & Brews™ on April 3 will be hosted by Simmons, Furano and Zislis.

The first location is located at 143 Main Street in El Segundo, California.
